Fruits Not to Refrigerate 

This may be due to the fact that we waited an excessive amount of time before consuming the produce; however, 

Fruits and vegetables, like people, can only flourish in specific environments under specified circumstances. 

When stored in the refrigerator, certain types of produce will have a longer shelf life. 

It is recommended by Christi Evans, a food safety specialist and registered dietitian at the Oklahoma State University Extension,

that some fruits, such as grapes, berries, and apricots, be kept in the refrigerator at all times. 

Evans also stated that "any fruit or vegetable that has been peeled or cut needs to be refrigerated," which is an important cautionary measure. 

A great number of other fruits and vegetables, on the other hand, require some time to sit on the counter before they are ready to be consumed.
